Enatta Programs and Strategies

Enatta’s programs support women to earn better incomes, stay healthy, and build strong, resilient communities through practical, community-driven solutions

Latest Program: 2025 Boat Regatta
Upcoming Program: IWD 2026 "Dabi Enitan"

Our Livelihood Empowerment Program operates through two interconnected pillars

Pillar 1: Livelihood Empowerment

Livelihood empowerment at Enatta focuses on helping women earn better and more stable incomes. We provide the tools, skills, and support women need to grow their existing livelihoods, manage their money, and reduce losses after harvest.

Pillar 2: Wellness and Sustainability

This pillar focuses on protecting women’s health and strengthening community bonds. By integrating health support into our programs and creating spaces for shared celebration and connection, we help prevent setbacks, protect livelihoods, and build stronger, more united communities.

Pillar 1: Livelihood Empowerment

Livelihood Activation (Boat Project)

We provide fishing boats as the primary tool, and other fishing tools enabling women to engage in income-generating activities, therby activating their existing livelihoods rather than creating dependency.

Financial Capability & Record Keeping (Money Mata)

We deliver financial literacy training that teaches beneficiaries to manage income, develop saving habits, and plan for asset accumulation independently.

Post-Harvest Value Protection (Clean Smoking, Cold Storage)

We support eco-friendly fish processing methods that reduce post-harvest losses and increase income through better preservation while improving health outcomes.

Pillar 2: Wellness and Sustainability

Shock Prevention (Health & Wellness)

We integrate health support throughout program activities to protect income gains and prevent health-related setbacks.

Social Cohesion (Boat Regatta)

We host annual community celebrations that build trust, social capital, and collective reinforcement among beneficiaries.

Program Implementation Phases

We implement our programs in structured phases that guide women from livelihood activation to long-term independence and sustainable exit.

Phase 1: Trust Building & Livelihood Activation
(Months 1-6)

Boat distribution, trust-building with beneficiaries, and cooperative formation initiation.

Phase 2: Financial Capability & Post-Harvest Development
(Months 6-18)

Money Mata training and Clean Smoking education run concurrently to ensure real behavioral change and measurable impact.

Phase 3: Graduation & Responsible Exit
(Months 18-24)

Intensive monitoring, evaluation, and assessment against graduation criteria to ensure sustainable exit.
