STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP
Enatta Foundation believes that lasting impact requires strong partnerships. We work alongside government agencies, academic institutions, and international organizations that share our commitment to empowering artisanal fisherwomen and strengthening food systems.
Together with our partners, we deliver sustainable change for women and coastal communities
Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems
As a registered partner of the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems, we benefit from critical policy support and community access that enables our work in riverine areas. This collaboration ensures our interventions align with state-level agricultural development priorities while providing us with the institutional backing needed to operate effectively across fishing communities in Lagos. Their support has been instrumental in scaling our Livelihood Empowerment Program and connecting our beneficiaries to broader agricultural value chains.
Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation
Our registration and partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation reflects a deep ideological alignment around women’s economic empowerment and poverty eradication. The Ministry has supported our work through beneficiary identification, program alignment, and advocacy for women in underserved communities. As we look toward the new year, we are developing expanded collaborations that will strengthen our collective impact on women’s livelihoods and economic inclusion across Lagos State.
University of Lagos
We serve as a ground resource partner for researchers at the University of Lagos conducting studies on fishing communities and women’s livelihoods. Our established presence and trusted relationships in riverine communities provide researchers with essential access and insights that strengthen the quality and authenticity of their work. This collaboration allows academic research to be grounded in real community contexts while enabling us to contribute to the evidence base on poverty alleviation and women’s economic empowerment in artisanal fishing communities.
WorldFish
We collaborate with WorldFish, a leading international research organization focused on aquatic food systems, through knowledge sharing and joint initiatives. In December 2025, we participated in their Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) launch at Afowo, Badagry, an experience that deepened our understanding of sustainable aquaculture practices and innovative approaches to increasing productivity in fishing communities. This partnership keeps us connected to global best practices while grounding our work in local realities.
